Finding Balance in the Manifestation Process

by Chip Engelmann

Lake Grasses, by Julie Engelmann Today we are going to swing the pendulum a bit from the removing of “blocks” to manifesting what we want. As cool as the forms of meridian tapping are, when you use them to remove obstacles the best you can hope for is achieving a neutral state on the emotional scale. It is then up to you the individual to manifest your bliss in whatever creative fashion tickles your fancy.

But for many of us it was a struggle to get to this neutral state on the emotional scale, and so when we stand on the edge of possibility – knowing that we really can have what we want – we falter. We know we want “abundance,” or “financial freedom,” or “prosperity,” but these terms are so vague they have little power. Or to be precise, they generate a weak vibrational field.

In fact, if we are trying to manifest “abundance,” “financial freedom” or”prosperity,” our very use of those words may indicate that we are afraid to ask for what we want: the new BMW, the better house, a soul mate, a flat screen TV with digital cable, a membership at a country club, a remodeled kitchen, an Mediterranean cruise. Of course, tapping can be very useful here.

Even though I’m afraid I can never have what I want…

Even though I know I can’t have a BMW…

Even though I know I don’t look good enough to attract the person I want…

Even though I don’t deserve…
To actually create a new reality in which a new BMW exists, we have to create a vibrational field in harmony with that BMW. Both Abraham and Paul [see sidebar] are very clear (or are as clear as possible within a language symbol system) on how this is accomplished. We place our attention on the moment where we are feeling the satisfaction having manifested the BMW. We imagine how it will feel to turn the key for the first time when it is ours. How it will feel driving it home, showing it off to the neighbors, taking the family for a test drive, etc.

They tell us to reach for the best feeling thoughts we can.

And this is where the balance comes in. Paul cautions us not to reach too far–which I have a tendency to do–because when we go too far out of our comfort zone we may find some bad-feeling thoughts. I recently asked Paul about expanding my customer base and he gave me an exercise to do. I immediately went into over-achiever mode and imagined a very fast rate of expansion. I immediately felt sadness, overwhelm and fear. In my imagination I had to slow the rate of expansion until I was in a state that felt really good.

Let’s use the BMW example again. There will be some feelings you can invoke that will feel really good to you. You may feel good imagining sitting in the leather seats, running your hand across the burl dash, and taking your family for a ride. But you may balk when you think that it is a $120,000 car, cringe at the idea of protecting it, or worry that the neighbors think you are too ostentatious.

Paul, aka the Communion of Light, is a group of non-physical beings channeled by Frank Butterfield. In a recent interview I asked Paul how he was different from Abraham or Seth. His answer was, “We grew up on the same block and went to the same school.” Although Abraham and Paul both talk about the Law of Attraction, they do so using different metaphors. For instance, while Abraham will ask you if a thought is upstream or downstream, Paul will ask you if a thought is expansive or contractive–do you feel bigger or smaller? I find the differences very helpful in breaking through to the “truth” that is Source Energy.

So what you want to do is stick to the feelings that are expansive, the ones that make you feel good. If your attention drifts to thoughts that don’t make you feel good, return to the thoughts where you did feel good.

Okay, I can hear the tappers now saying, well I’ll just tap on that. Yes, there is a place for that, but not while you are in creation mode. The second you apply the tapping process, you are shifting your attention from what you want to what you don’t want. Instead, simply return to those thoughts where you felt good. If you like, make a note of where your limits or bad-feeling thoughts are and tap on them later. But unless you make the time to spend in that good-feeling thought, the chances of manifesting the BMW are very slim.

For some people it is possible to tap while maintaining the good feeling. However, if you start to analyze the tapping and what is taking place, you have removed your attention from what you want. The purpose here is to create and feed a vibrational field.

The more time you spend immersed in the good feelings surrounding what you want, the closer you get to the center of the vortex. Keep it up, and you cross the threshold to get caught in the whirlpool, pulling you to the center, and the BMW becomes inevitable.

    Great post Chip. Specifically:

    1) I agree that tapping often is focused on clearing the negative and that only gets one so far. I like to use positive energy psychology tools to help embody the feelings of what you want – positive tapping is a good example.

    2) The piece about moving at a pace that your system is comfortable allowing – as opposed to trying to go to far to fast – is another key to successful manifesting.

    Thanks for your wisdom,
    Paul

    Thanks Paul,

I throw may imagination out pretty far and fast, so learning to slow down in my conscious manifestation has been key for me.

Chip was born in a cave devoid of any humor whatsoever, somewhere south of the town of Mendocino, CA. Since then, judiciously ignoring the 60's and 70's, Chip managed to get his master's degree in English, become a licensed general contractor, and build a mail-order/Internet business in the Internet Stone Age (he had to write his own shopping cart). Both businesses topped 7 figures in sales.

Chip is the author of two books, The Born Loser's Guide to Abundance and The EFT Quick-Start Method, as well as over a hundred articles on physical, emotional, and financial health. He is an expert in EFT and/or Meridian Tapping (whichever term is currently en vogue) and a self-proclaimed Law of Attraction guru. He has helped hundreds of clients world-wide, showing a particular knack for working with high-profile individuals in total anonymity, making him EFT's best-kept secret.
