Finding My Personal Connection to Money »

The Great Law of Attraction Treasure Hunt

If you are frustrated because you think you are doing all the right things but you still can’t get the Law of Attraction to work for you, relax. You are very, very close. You are just looking at the wrong things.

As I mentioned in a previous post, “From the viewpoint of Source Energy what you create through your desires is real the instant you intend it. It exists as vibration. It does not get any more real. Further down the pike it may manifest as a physical object or event in your world, but this world is your creation, what some would call a world of illusion because it exists for you alone.”

Let’s go a little further working with this idea. When you create an experience you create it first on a vibrational level. So, let’s say you think you would like pizza. Then sooner or later you will find yourself eating it – with or without further planning on your part. The placement of the intention into your vibration automatically sends the experience from the vibrational reality to the physical reality. It is like gravity or a river flowing downstream. Unless you send up a wall of resistance, the experience will come.

Now, pizza is pretty low-stakes. We’ve manifested it many times before, and our self-esteem isn’t riding on our pizza success. Unless we have actually ordered it, we probably aren’t looking over our shoulder wondering when it is going to get here – we just know we will have it one day, most likely when we have ordered it, but not necessarily. Maybe it will show up at an office party or at someone’s house when we visit.

The problem with higher-stakes desires is that most people insist on focusing on the illusion of “not-having” as if it were more real than the vibration of “having.” Even if we know this point intellectually, our ingrained belief system constantly redirects us to our physical situation. As Einstein has said about the physical reality, “it is a very persistent illusion.”

So what we must do is shift our expectations from assuming that we will experience “more of the same” – or continue in the same physical situation (illusion) – to seeing what is already manifested in vibration (truth). Let me say that as directly as possible. We have to shift our expectation of reality from illusion to truth.

So tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

My clients constantly tell me that manifesting is easier in some parts of their lives than others. For some people it may be very easy to manifest the relationships they want, but difficult to manifest money within their illusion of recession. If so, then play the game where it is easiest. Don’t focus on the money, focus on manifesting an even better relationship. Both Abrahamand Paul (Communion of Light) tell us again and again to focus and expand upon what is working in your life.

The Great Treasure Hunt

One summer at our family cottage when my daughter was 6 or 7, we were swinging in a hammock together. She looked down and saw a piece of parchment sticking out of the ground. The parchment was burnt along the edges as if it had been in a fire, but on the parchment she could read a map, and on the map was a big X on wiggly blob labeled Treasure Island. So off we went in the boat on a treasure hunt. The map started at Pirate’s Cove, so we had to dock our boat and go ashore. A dotted line led us to trees and ducks (three rocks stacked on top of each other), and after searching for clues and following directions, we unearthed a small chest full of jewelry.

Of course, the jewelry was costume jewelry, and I had planted the map where she would find it. But this kind of treasure hunt can be very useful in helping us make a major breakthrough with the manifesting process.

At an Abraham Law of Attraction workshop I attended in Toronto in 2008, Abraham mentioned that Esther kept a “Positive Aspects Journal.” Whatever she was working on at the time, she wrote down all the positive aspects of the situation. Whenever she felt she was getting off track, she returned to her positive aspects journal and re-read it.

Taking this idea further, we can go on a treasure hunt. As what we are wanting gets closer, more and more clues to its arrival become evident. We see a pizza billboard. The phonebook falls open to the page. Someone asks us to come over for dinner. If we fail to see the clues, we may get discouraged and worse, mess things up: “I really don’t see why she would be asking me to dinner. I won’t go.”

But if we look for clues, not seeking but rather just paying attention, more and more clues will start to appear. We can either add these clues to our Positive Aspects Journal or create a new page for clues. The important thing in this game is to stay open to see the clues. The more clues we find, the more easily we know we are getting close to our treasure.

When things are going great, look for the clues. When contrast is making things difficult, look for the clues. They will be there no matter what your emotional state. Just keep looking for the clues.

The clues will guide you to the treasure chest of jewels you are wanting.

    Hi Chip,

The pizza analogy resonated with me. We can manifest a slice of pizza because the moment we think of it we can almost taste it. The idea of having a slice of pizze feels so real to us then, Boom, we have it.

Fast forward to wanting to have a mansion. It might excite us for a short period of time but feels less and less real as ‘reality’ sets in. Low finances, debt, and bills cause us to forget what the mansion ‘tastes’ like.

This is why visualization is so important. Finding a quiet spot and letting desired images come to mind keeps ‘reality’ out and lets Reality set in.

Thanks for sharing your insight :)

I enjoyed your post, because no matter how much we think we know about the Law Of Attraction, we can always use a reminder. I think the Law of Attraction works by making us more aware, receptive, seeking out and being open to opportunities that always exist, but we don’t see them, respond to them or create them until we “make up our minds”.

Rev. Ike was teaching the Law of Attraction long before it was called by that name. You might find his short YouTube video “How to use the Law of I AM” interesting. It will certainly change any pre-conceived opinions you might have about Rev. Ike. Take a look

Chip was born in a cave devoid of any humor whatsoever, somewhere south of the town of Mendocino, CA. Since then, judiciously ignoring the 60's and 70's, Chip managed to get his master's degree in English, become a licensed general contractor, and build a mail-order/Internet business in the Internet Stone Age (he had to write his own shopping cart). Both businesses topped 7 figures in sales.

Chip is the author of two books, The Born Loser's Guide to Abundance and The EFT Quick-Start Method, as well as over a hundred articles on physical, emotional, and financial health. He is an expert in EFT and/or Meridian Tapping (whichever term is currently en vogue) and a self-proclaimed Law of Attraction guru. He has helped hundreds of clients world-wide, showing a particular knack for working with high-profile individuals in total anonymity, making him EFT's best-kept secret.
