Creating New Rules
|
“We would like to remind you that what we are taking about [money] is energy. It is not an energy such as you might want to generate by turning a motor and creating power. It is not an energy where you must do one thing to have another.
“It is an energy more similar to oxygen. It is something that is readily available to you wherever you are, whatever you are doing, wherever you are going. It does not matter what situation you are in right now. The energy of money is always available to you. All that you must do is to connect to it in a way that makes sense to you.” -Paul, the Communion of Light, from the second CD in the Creating Money series. |
If we look at the last sentence, we see that the key to creating money is finding a connection with it. Therefore it seems counterintuitive to believe we can achieve success by focusing on what is keeping us from forming a connection with money. Yet, that is exactly what most people do.
They look at their ability to create money, see they are not getting what they want, then look for all the reasons why they are not getting it. They come up with blocks, issues, things their parents taught them, etc. They work with people like me to remove these blocks though EFT, Sedona Method, or Light TappingSM, thinking that once the blocks are removed, money will flow.
True, but in practice, we have to turn our attention from what we don’t want, to what we do want. Certainly the above methods do help us to remove energetic vibrations (and corresponding emotions) that distract us from our goals. However, if the “goal” is just to clear blocks and issues, we are stopping short of doing what it actually takes to make the money we want.

Let’s say we do achieve ground zero, a clean slate, an unencumbered starting point. We still have to create a connection with money.
So let’s turn that boat around right now and find a path of lesser resistance. In my last post, I asked you to observe that your rules about money are reflected in your words about money. Now, we could work on isolating each of these rules and overcome each limitation. But that would be akin to attempting to stop a boat from sinking by pulling the drain plug to let the water flow out the bottom. Unfortunately, you are achieving the exact opposite of what you intended.
Instead, let’s pivot (to use an Abraham term). Use a limiting rule about money from your current belief system to determine what it is you don’t want. Once you know what you don’t want, turn it around to determine what it is you do want.
Creating New Rules for Money
At this point, take out your notebook, journal, or paper on which you will write your new rules about money. The rules you make are totally yours to create. However, feel free to borrow from others whose rules resonate with you.
Write on the top of the page:
When I looked at my words and my thoughts about money, I found a common thread. “Making money is a difficult struggle. And there is never enough.” So my first rule about money is:
Rule 1: Everything about money is fun and easy.
Money is fun and easy to acquire. Money is joyful to spend. Money is fun and easy to give away. It is fun to think about money, touch it, imagine filling a bathtub with it and jumping in it. It is fun and easy to pay bills and taxes. It is fun and easy to keep track of money. It is fun and easy to invest money and watch it grow.
For my second rule, I am borrowing from Frank Butterfield.
Rule 2: Money continuously flows to me whether I ask for it or not.
Frank points out that he has enough money in his vibrational escrow to last him quite a while. When I look at all the money I’ve asked the Universe for up to this point, I see that if I just get that, I’ll be extremely rich for the rest of my life. I’ve spent entirely too much time either thinking about or worrying about money. Frankly, it’s getting a little boring. So I am letting the Universe take over handling the bulk of it. If I have a special project, then we’ll play with that, but for now, Universe, it’s all yours baby.
Rule 3: What I receive will always exceed what I ask for.
Whenever I start a project, I think I know what I want. However, as I am manifesting, I tend to see improvements I can make. So if I ask the Universe for $500,000 to build a playground, and decide it would be even better if I added a garden path for the elderly, my new rule says I’m covered without having to go back to the Universe to put in another request. Likewise, if I decide that I want a 96″ high-definition wall-mounted monitor and find that I can get a radar array that receives video broadcasts from the intelligent gasses on Pluto–if I buy the special package–I want to be able to take advantage of it.
Take a few minutes to formulate your new rules. Take them into meditation, contemplation or just relax around them. Play with them. What will it be like when these rules are firmly a part of your universe? What will that feel like? How will things be different?

Ooh — I want a radar array that receives video broadcasts from the intelligent gasses on Pluto too!
Excellent stuff here, as always!
Thanks Chip!
A friend of mine started using your technique and said it works. Glad I checked on this. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Chip, I love how you take current challenges and then apply an easy to follow process to get people where they want to be.
Love the play on words in second paragraph you said you borrowed from Frank and then said Frankly-hahahahaha, yes I caught that.
I did the creating fun around paying bills several years ago, thanks for reminder to get back to that as my income grew by over 100% when I did that what seems like little ritual, so it works.
Much love
