So where’s my stuff?
It’s still there.
Okay, let’s start at the very beginning. No, back further.
There is only one rule to manifesting your universe. You make all the rules. I mean all of them. Okay, some of you willingly borrow from others or get talked into rules or whatever. But even this borrowing is a subset of some variation of the rule: I co-create with others.
You make all the rules.
When you came into your physical experience as a being of light and love you were a blank slate — pure potential, like an artist with a blank canvas. You can create anything you want. In fact, that is how you create. You simply want it.
So with your blank canvas you say. “I want a big stroke of red here.” And you enjoy the red for a while. Then you say, “I want a stroke of yellow next to it.” And you enjoy the harmony of the red and the yellow. Then you say “I want a stroke of blue that crosses the red and yellow.” And you enjoy it, but your emotional guidance system kicks in and you start to feel angry. Anger tells you that something is in conflict with the way you think things should be. The blue clearly is creating a conflict.
So you say, I want the blue to run parallel to the red and yellow. You shift it and like it, so you create a rule about it. “From now on, all colors will run in parallel.”
So you start adding colors and they all fall neatly in parallel and you like it a lot, until you add pink. Pink just doesn’t seem to fit anywhere, but pink is such a pretty color and you want it in your experience. So you make a new rule, ” If the color is pink, it goes perpendicular to the red on the left edge.” From then on, all pinks will go on the left edge.
And we are still creating in this fashion. We want things; then when they are in conflict, we revise our wants. Then to make things easier, we create rules.
Perhaps the rule that keeps most of us from getting what we want is, “It takes time.” Of course the sub-rule also applies, “The bigger the thing we want (the farther it is outside our comfort zone) the longer it takes.”
There is a joke:
A man asks God, “What is a billion dollars like to you?”
God answers, “A billion dollars to you is like a penny to me.”
And the man asks, “And what is a billion years like to you.”
And God answers, “A billion years to you is like a second to me.”
And the man thinks about it. “Can I have a penny?”
God replies, “Sure, in just a second.”
Non-physical Paul, the collective known as the Communion of Light channeled by Frank Butterfield, tells us that because we are in a physical reality of time and space, the manifestation process does take time–about a second.
What takes more time for us is that we apply our rules to the process. And from these rules, we form expectations. Our expectations determine when “what we want” will manifest. And we can observe our expectations in what we say.
- Rome wasn’t built in a day.
- You have to put in your time.
- Don’t fall for get-rich-quick schemes. Save, invest and grow rich slowly. You’ll get there.
- I’ll never get rich.
- I have to clear out my blocks first.
- I have issues around money.
Abraham, as channeled by Esther Hicks, gives us the example of ordering from Amazon.com. When we place an order for a book, we expect it to arrive in 3 days. We place the order. We forget about it. Sure enough it arrives on time. What we don’t do is go to the mailbox on the next day, see it is not there, get upset, and place our order again. We know the book is on its way.
Yet when we place our order with the Universe, we don’t let it go in full expectation that it is done and on its way. Instead, we place our order with the Universe something like this: “I want $500 to pay my bills by the end of the week.” Of course, the Universe complies in alignment with your expectations. But instead of expecting the money to manifest by the end of the week, we check back on day one and ask, I wonder if my stuff is coming? And ask again on day two.
In essence, we doubt whether the Universe got our order (and the Universe complies), and we replace our order. And the Universe gets the wheels in motion again. The next day we look around and see the money is not there and ask again. Finally, it is the day before the bills are due and the money still has not arrived. And the feeling that has been building all week hits home. “Oh my God, the money is not coming!” And the Universe complies.
And we jump to the foregone conclusions:
- I have worthiness issues.
- What my parents taught me about money was all wrong.
- I have blocks to the Law of Attraction.
- I just can’t do it.
We solidify our expectations.
The trick here is to trust that the Universe will deliver. In other words, change our expectations to allow it to be.
Tapping for allowing can be useful. No set-up statement is needed, just tap a round on your variation of each of the following:
- I give myself permission to allow (what I want) to manifest.
- I give myself permission to have (what I want) no matter what my issues.
- I give myself permission to have (what I want) in spite of my blocks.
- I give myself permission to trust that the Universe will deliver.
Expect the results you desire and you will have them.

Chip you are an excellent example of a Go-Giver. This is awesome material and I know how much time it takes to create things like this, we are honored.
