Tapping exercise
Because we want to experience our “fear compass,” the tapping today is intended to make the “good fear” manageable. The following technique represents a system I call, Tapping for Allowing. Today we will use tapping to give ourself permission.
The sequence used is similar to the Choices Method pioneered by Dr. Pat Carrington. Use the set-up phrase three times as given below while either rubbing on the sore spot or tapping on the karate chop point. Then tap three rounds:
- one on the first part (or negative part) of the phrase
- one on the second (or positive part) of the phrase
- one alternating between the negative and positive, making sure you finish your round with the positive phrase.
Even though this fear has me stalled,
I give myself permission to move forward every single day.
Even though this fear is too intense for me,
I give myself permission to experience it at a level I can handle.
Even though all fear seems bad to me,
I give myself permission to experience the clean, subtle vibrations of “good fear.”
