Dear %$firstname$%,

Today's I Listen to Spirit Blog is pretty intense. I think during situations like this, one needs the inner guidance most.

Dear Guides,
What happens spiritually when there is a breach in a relationship, such as an affair? What are alternative ways to look at it and react to it?

The longer "Dear Guides" Journal version of the blog, channeled by Minda Bernstein, goes quite into "giving yourself audience" at a time when your world is shaken. But I thought what I would offer you here is a jewel from another part of their response to this question: the part on rebuilding one's life.

"You can consciously open yourself to seeing the possibilities of what this brings to you. You can ask your guides or journal or ask before sleeping for dreams or visions as to what opportunities this brings to you. This is a time to invite your inner soul and voices to state what they see. New visions may come to you. Or new ways of looking at older, more familiar situations - even the status quo. You could choose to receive the status quo, but revamp it in a whole new frame of reference or new way of being.

"Then sit with each of these ideas - let the multiplicity of voices be heard first. You can sit with the ideas and see which ones appeal to you. This is a time to ground very carefully and support yourself as well as possible, in order to hear with the greatest wisdom that you can."

Perhaps fitting for the blog, today's painting is called, "Pretending to Listen." (34"Hx48"W) Last week's and this week's paintings are a new thing to me, to name the painting first - an idea which I am transferring from making the blog paintings.

Well, I have been working on taxes early this year because our daughter's college financial aid form requires it. I have learned that taxes and housekeeping go very well together. About the time my left brain cannot look at another paper or number, my right brain is relieved to lose itself in the textures and colors and motions of cleaning. Then, after a dose of grunge, the taxes start looking real good again.

    With love,
    Julie
