For artists who love to explore Spirit, and spiritual people who love to explore art

Dear %$firstname$%,

Thank you to the dear souls who gave us feedback on our survey last week! Your insights were very helpful. It seems our readers enjoy both parts of the Beauty & Spirit Note - the art musings and the I Listen to Spirit Blog. That was beautiful to hear.

Minda writes, "This is our 52nd week celebration. Julie and I have had an entire magical year channeling together on a weekly basis. It has been such a pure joy."

I agree, and we thank you for coming along on the ride!

It is time for us to launch the exciting changes we have planned. Let's talk about where each part is going: Minda's I Listen to Spirit Blog and my art musings.

You will continue to receive the I Listen to Spirit Blog. Minda will start a new cycle of channelings that dig deeper into the many tempting spiritual "clues" that have been dropped by the guides in our Dear Guides Journal answers over the past year. We can't wait to see what fruits are waiting to fall from the vine!

Minda may be the one to write you the weekly email that links to her blog, or we may take turns. When she writes, it may change to text format. But you'll see, she's a very cheerful correspondent!

Also coming up, Minda has begun a series of workshops that are getting rave reviews. She is partnering with my husband, Chip Engelmann of ChipEFT.com, to produce these delightful events. You'll hear details soon and realize as I do that Minda has an amazing gift to offer in this area.

Now let's look at what's going to happen to the Beauty & Spirit Note. You probably didn't read the first issue on February 4, 2010, where I told the story of my vision for Beauty & Spirit (the whole thing, not just the "Note"). So I'll reprint here a few paragraphs on how this began.

The idea for Beauty & Spirit as a vortex for spiritual-creative sharing came to me in a deep contemplation on May 29, 2009, nearly fully formed in several dimensions. I made sketches, considered the notion, then set it aside. It didn't seem necessary.

It kept coming back. Again and again.

So finally I have let it come through the open door here, just in its most simple form: a communication with you, fellow lover of beauty and Spirit. The rest of the vision shall remain in the ethers until it insists on making itself visible!

Well, guess what! The time has come! I am so excited to tell you that this has all opened up in technicolor ready to happen.

I've been a member of CreateCulture.org for quite awhile. A few months ago it lit up from the inner that I would be able to bring Beauty & Spirit out through that vehicle. But I looked on the site and there was no way to do it.

Then just a week ago John and Nico - the founders, whom I had been in touch with a bit - announced that the site is now capable of hosting groups. I got goosebumps as I read that having a group means I can set up a dedicated space with a forum, people can post their work, there will be space for blogs, resources, discussions and collaborations, I can send messages to the group, and soon will be able to organize online exhibits, including juried ones. The site already has a large base of artists worldwide with plenty of activity and spiritually-based work.

It's as if I can just move seamlessly into my vision. So I'll keep you informed whether this means I'll be sending you my posts or you may want to sign up on the site.

For now, our year of Dear Guides Journal channelings deserves a toast! The pictures this week are two details from a painting I am working on, called "Celebration Field" (25"x25"). And our I Listen to Spirit Blog number 52, "Celebration and Making the Most of This," is included below so you can just enjoy it right here and celebrate along with us!

With love,
Julie

Two sisters channel on intriguing questions: Minda through writing; Julie through painting

Today's question for the guides:
"Celebration and Making the Most of This"

Dear Guides,

On the occasion of our 52nd "Dear Guides" question - our one-year anniversary - would you reflect on celebrating accomplishments, such as this? What does celebration really mean and how we can incorporate it into our busy lives?

Dear Ones,

To use this anniversary as a point of celebration is a brilliant example, as all of the people in your stratosphere deeply long for these kinds of moments of celebration, moments when they can fly on the wings of satisfaction, achievement and glory.

And it is our pleasure to remind you over and over again that glory and joy are the key notes you are entitled to in this lifetime. Not that they are easy to uncover, since they are covered over by layers and layers of debris that is flailed all around your atmosphere. But they are there, hidden underneath.

And the more each person can dig around and uncover these valuables, and possess them, and shine them up and play with them, honor them, enjoy them, the more happiness will spread and the more the whole area will become en-"light"-ened. One celebration affords easier access to the next, and so on and so on.

Each time you choose to celebrate and underline your accomplishments, acknowledge them, expand on them, talk them up, bask in them, even indulge your fantasy in them, as to how they could be magnified, including allowing yourselves to tell tall tales - not publicly, but between friends and supporters - you can allow yourselves to feel more and more free to dream, grow, plant new visions, expand your comfort zone with imagining the best case scenario that could come as a result of your accomplishments.

Take this as an exercise, a way to play with your accomplishments, a way to play the celebration game.

This painting reminds me of the light glinting off a Christmas ornament - which reminds me of happiness, gifts and celebration!
