Dear %$firstname$%,

This week we continue with the intriguing subject of life and death.
Our I Listen to Spirit Blog peeks at Viewing Our Life From Beyond.

Dear Guides,
When we review our life from the other worlds after we die, what will we consider our successes, and what will we deem we could have done better?

Excerpt from Minda Bernstein's channeling on 6.21.2010:

Dear Ones,

"This is the kind of perspective which we are constantly striving to share with you, and the more you can adopt this in your everyday thinking and decision-making, the more clearly you are in tune with the choices you set out for yourselves before you came into this life.
. . .

"How to describe this process? It is like you set up a certain obstacle course that you thought would be fun and a learning experience for your soul. You knew, as a result of counsel and review of other lives, the areas where you were soft or unformed or missing a substantial piece.

"You could see this almost like a skin or sheath stretched around a structure. In certain areas, if there is no structure supporting the covering, you will see a depression, a dip. It is obvious that the structure underneath is lacking and there is something inside that would bolster it up into its shape which is missing.

"Similarly, you looked at your soul shape and saw the areas which you considered as missing some attention, strength, support, muscle, structure. You can choose any of a myriad of words to describe this.

"But if you imagine this visual description we have made above, you see that it is not a question of judgment, of saying, 'Gee, you are really weak in this area!' and being condemning towards yourself or another. You would simply say, 'Oh, I notice a spot which needs support. Add that to the list of challenges I'd like to work on next time around.'
. . .

"This review is much like the parent watching home movies of their one-year old child learning to walk and falling down numerous times. You notice that in the review/movie watching/observation, the parent does not wince and cry at each fall."

I often compare my life, and how I'm going about it, with how it will look to me from the other side. I guess you could say I'm trying to get a great return on my investment.

This Beauty & Spirit Note is being sent while I'm on vacation in Wisconsin. So I thought I would show you something interesting today.

It falls into the category of "little-known facts."

This is my very first oil painting. I was 19 years old and painted it on the first day of class with my dear mentor, first-generation abstract expressionist Milton Resnick. Milton Resnick: inspiring, imponderable, impenetrable.

The painting is called "Tree." (16"Hx20"W)

I still find something there that I'd like to explore further.

Do you find that you have left seeds in your past that you might want to see sprout and grow in your future?

With love,
Julie
