Dear Friend,
Welcome, especially to all of Minda's friends who signed up for Beauty & Spirit this week! Today's I Listen to Spirit Blog question is on the subject of Victimhood:
Dear Guides, What to do when we feel ourselves moving into the victim role, along with its supporting cast, complaining, blaming and nagging? Click to the blog and enjoy that one! Now, my friend Bruce looked at the blog last week and read through it for quite awhile, yet he didn't realize that the blog is actually just an excerpt - a delightful excerpt, we hope - of the full channeling on each of these questions. The blog is the first couple of paragraphs of the full channeling, which is much more complete at about four pages long. We publish the full channeling in the "Dear Guides" Journal, which you can subscribe to on the "Dear Guides" Journal page. So in the Journal you find a lot more insights, useful techniques, and colorful explanations.
For example, here's a spiritual exercise from today's channeling on Victimhood, which continues at length in the Journal but is not included in the blog - just an extra treat for you today: Sometimes, taking the moment to indulge and nourish your inner child can give you just enough distance from the dilemma or situation that you can begin to see it from a greater perspective. And when you have that bit of breathing space, you can think of the broader context: that the Universe is here for you, to serve you. Somehow this moment is here to serve you, too. What could possibly be the gift of the moment? What lesson could be hidden in this uncomfortable situation in which you find yourself? Very beautiful.
