Dear %$firstname$%,
Today's I Listen to Spirit Blog examines a question that crops up for those of us who try to apply the Law of Attraction in our daily lives: "Authenticity vs. Positivity." Dear Guides, Is it valuable to communicate authentically, to acknowledge and share with others the struggles we're going through? If so, how do we do it without creating a negative story? If we stick to only expressing the positive in order to reinforce the positive, are we glossing over the opportunity to learn and grow from our challenges and are we cutting off our human, authentic connection to others? Click to the blog. This was a fascinating and expansive answer. Here is more of it from the longer, several-page "Dear Guides" Journal version of the I Listen to Spirit blog, channeled by Minda Bernstein.
"So sharing with others allows for many exchanges of energy in the most life affirming ways. There is no benefit in avoiding this exercise, ignoring problems, thinking that they will disappear if we don't acknowledge them. "The whole focus of the 'positive' attitude is that it helps you to keep broadening your vision, beyond the 'woe is me' small perspective where you see yourself in a stuck, limited, no-way-out situation and then give up. "Positivity is not intended as a 'punishment,' as in: 'Now I can't enjoy wallowing in pain anymore.' Its value is that it will bring you closer to solutions as your view grows broader and broader, until you will see that North touches South when you go around the globe, and East meets West."
