3. Loving Your BodyHave you heard of the water experiments by Dr. Masura Emoto? He has researched and documented that our words affect the shape of water crystals. Google his work on the web and you'll be mystified by the beautiful shapes that water crystals form when they are labeled with loving words, and the distorted shapes they form when labeled with hateful words. Your body is more than half water, your blood 83% water. Our daughter based a high school science project on Dr. Emoto's work. She planted three pots with three bean seeds each, and wrote on the sides of the pots, respectively, "Love," "Neutral," and "Hate." She put them all near the window and treated them equally, other than the words on the sides. "Love" grew uniformly and symmetrically, with nice, thick stalks going straight up, and lush, even leaves to each side. It grew twice as tall as "Hate," which was scrawny, thin and uneven, with irregular leaf edges. "Neutral" grew wildly random and asymmetrical, short and thin on one side, and on the other a long stalk extended, leading to some nice leaves that were too heavy for the stem. If words can affect the growth of plants, what might they be doing to our bodies? Let's give our bodies some loving labels here and now. I do this for a couple minutes or longer every day before I get out of bed, and I love the feeling. It's like a big, warm hug all over. When I look in the mirror I look younger and more beautiful. Physical problems heal faster. We'll bring this concept to a larger scope in a future exercise. * * *
The exercise is really very simple. You can do it lying down, or just anytime, anywhere . Imagine one large word "Love" floating through your body space. I picture it golden, in big, three-dimensional block letters, or else in a lovely, soft golden script like fairy dust. You can also picture little, tiny words, "Love" streaming through your bloodstream. It may feel like the touch of a warm, sunny day at the beach. Then, as if the love has a flashlight or focal point, move the focal point gently from toe to head, spending extra time along the way at all the places where you may need a little more healing attention. Perhaps there's a toe, ankle or knee problem to stop at. Spend some time on your sexual organs, especially women who have been mistreated there. Let the love just be there, in the present. Your bowels need such appreciation. Stop at other organs that draw your attention... Your breasts if cancer is a risk, Any back or neck areas that tend to strain... Other issues - belly, heart, hands, thyroid... Yes, love your fat, too - unlock the shame and release your freedom. It's like putting raindrops of golden love on these parts, then just move on. Like watering your favorite flowers. Now at your head, start at the back. Imagine flooding your hair follicles with love and health to grow youthful hair. Your brain - love it unconditionally. Your face and skin - my favorite part, it makes such a visible difference. Feel the warm love bringing moist youth from the inside out - relax, and love your cells and countenance. Then your teeth and gums. And finally, your eyes. (See also exercise #1, "Giving Your Eyes Love.") Is it selfish to give yourself all this love? Let me ask you this. Are you hoping someone else will? * * *
One more thing. Whenever you have pain or fatigue, superimpose the word "Love" right into it. Allow little, molecule-sized Love words to move and slide through the cells and blood in that area to heal yourself and release stuck stuff gently. It helps, a little and a lot. Repeat.
