My vision of Integrative Health Care is a holistic approach, one that works with the client on a mental, emotional,
and spiritual level as well as on a physical level. Human beings are more than a complicated mechanical collection of organs
and tissues. We have thoughts and feelings. Sometimes these thoughts and feelings are at the core of the illnesses
we experience. Often our habits and beliefs get in the way of lifestyle changes that may be needed to achieve the
level of health we desire.
It is my belief that a health care practitioner needs reliable methods of health assessment, a knowledge of
nutrition--not just how to eat healthy, but an awareness of how an unhealthy diet affects the various body
systems–-and a method of helping a person overcome bad habits and addictions, destructive emotions, and limiting
beliefs. My primary method of health assessment is iridology, the science of looking at external signs in the
eye as an indication of conditions in the body. I use EFT, the emotional equivalent of acupuncture without
the needles, to help a client overcome the mental and emotional barriers that keep them from attaining the energy
and vibrant health they desire. Combined with a knowledge of nutrition, I use iridology and EFT to help a
client move from where they are now to the level of health they want to attain.
Most importantly, I work with the client as a partner, educating them on various aspects of
health and nutrition. In this way, responsibility for the client's health rests firmly with
the client, where it belongs. Together, we work toward gaining a level of health that is
more than just an okayness or absence of symptoms, but a level of health that exudes energy
and vitality. Life should be more than the management of symptoms, and we should not have
to live in pain. Furthermore, only when we take our attention from our physical woes
and suffering, can we attain our spiritual potential.
