If you have you been wondering how to integrate EFT into your practice of the Law of Attraction [LOA], or vice versa, you are not alone. EFT is a phenomenal tool for consciously sculpting your thought patterns, both releasing what is no longer working for you AND opening up to embracing new possibilities. The Law of Attraction states that where attention goes, energy flows…the vibration we are focused upon will determine the outcomes we experience. Many who practice LOA in their daily life know the importance of consciously focusing attention to bring the predominantly desired outcomes. There are probably many ways to integrate EFT with the practice of LOA, and in this post I will share one option that works for me.
Please Affirm: The Common Factor in EFT and LOA I am a true believer in the power of "Positive Affirmations"-positive statements, in the present tense (as if we are living the desired experience), that evoke passion. It's easy to remember those 3 Ps: positive, present tense, and passion. By reading, writing, and saying affirmations repetitively we train our focus upon the outcome we desire, generating a positive feeling about it, and soon we see proof of it reflected in our daily life. Affirmations are not only a key tool use in applying LOA, because they keep the mind/heart focused, they are also the structure through which EFT is executed. As you are tapping on the various points, you are saying affirmations…initially negative ones, then refocusing on positive affirmations. Have you ever found yourself saying the positive round in EFT and just *loving* the statements…feeling your energy shift as you say them?!? Those are positive affirmations that really resonate for you. Keep those in mind as you read further… Finding What Feels Good to You One of the tenets of LOA is that our emotions are the guideposts for which choices to make. The ideas and opportunities that feel good to you are the ones that will be most successful for you, and take you in the direction you have been focusing upon (on a vibratory level). This makes sense as science begins to better understand the mysteries of the human body. Interviewed on Louise Hay's, You Can Heal Your Life Extended DVD, Christiane Northrup, M.D. explains that the human heart creates an electro-magnetic field 60 times stronger than the human thought wave. As we feel joy in our heart when we focus our attention on a desire, the heart is sending out vibratory pulses broadcasting that information. Likewise, when we feel fear in our heart (you know that feeling in your chest when fear strikes), our heart is broadcasting that vibration as well. Which one do you think is more likely to bring you experiences you'll feel good about? So, when you say positive affirmations while doing EFT, notice which ones just delight you as you say them. If they make you smile or giggle, that's even better! Notice how it feels in your heart, and the area around it, as you say your favorite positive affirmations. Keep track of these affirmations-write them down and memorize them-because how you feel when you say them is your clue that those are the most powerful affirmations for you, personally. Integrating While I love EFT, let's face it: It's not always convenient to be tapping-especially in the middle of a crowd or while driving (keep those hands on the steering wheel!). The good news is that you can start thinking or saying affirmations to yourself in those same situations mentioned, and no one will ever know…except for that smile on your face, as well as the confidence and the joy you exude. (They'll all be wondering what your secret is!) By memorizing your favorite EFT positive affirmations for times when it just isn't convenient to tap, and using them throughout the day, you will be consciously focusing your attention only on thoughts that feel good. As the vibration your heart emits shifts to one of consistent joy, you will notice that your life becomes more joyful, harmonious, and fun. Chances are, the issues you originally tapped about (fears, worries, anxieties, etc.) will evaporate now that your attention is focused elsewhere. Using EFT to release the deep-rooted emotional blocks, and then saying/thinking your favorite EFT affirmations repetitively, is a great way to integrate the EFT and LOA. Give it a try, and let us know what you think! © 2009 Barry-Jansson & Associates and AffirmingSpirit.com |
